Curriculum Structure
ObjectThe main object of education in the ILST is as the following :
1. The ILST will train the students to own the ability of interdisciplinary researches.
2. The ILST will train the students to control and utilize the tendency of social changes about technology development, to expand and promote the vision of their career planning.
3. The ILST will train the students to be the professional and moral in law, then to promote themselves to own the leadership in law.
4. The ILST will be the foundation of development or career transfer for the students who have worked in their professional fields.
5. The ILST will assist the students to enter into global researches and development through the curriculum design of the resource integration.
6. The ILST will train the students to satisfy the need for the national and social development.
Curriculum designThe design of curriculum is accompany with professional background in technology and law, having the following features :
I. Professional in technology (Group A) :
The design of curriculum for three years in department provided the fundamental law course as a base and other assistant courses of frontier technology realms :
（I） Required fundamental courses of law : include Civil Law、Seminar on Civil Law、Criminal Law、Criminal law-kind of crime、General provisions on obligation、Property Law、Seminar on Property Law、Family Law、Constitution Law、Administrative Law、Business Law、Civil Procedure、Criminal Procedure Law、Public International Law、Conflict of Laws、Legal Writing、Economic Analysis of Law、Legal Ethics。
（II） Required Intellectual Property and Economic Laws : All students have to take at least 3 of 5 courses (Trademark Law、Patent Law、Copyright Law、Trade Secrets、Fair Trade Law).
（III） Curriculum on frontier technology realms : Students in technology background have to take at least 6 credit hours of the following courses: 1. Curriculum of telecommunication section 2. Curriculum of bio-medical technology section 3. Curriculum of environmental law section Above three section courses all contain different design and would be changed with the tendency.
（IV） Practice curriculum : The graduating students have to take the courses (for the grade three in principal) which would match with the demands of current society.
Ⅱ. Professional in law background (Group B) : The design of curriculum for two years in department provided the courses linked to technology as a base to the students in law background, and major part of courses in the law of frontier technology realms :
（I） Required fundamental courses of technology : Include introduction to nature science of four foundation sciences: mathematics、physics、chemistry and biology, and four courses of intellectual property rights: trademark、patent、copyright and trade secrets.
（II） Required selective courses : Students have to take at least one of the three following courses: 1. Introduction to Life Science 2. Introduction Information and Telecommunication Technology 3. Introduction to Environmental Resources
（III） Curriculum on frontier technology section : Same as the students in technology background
（IV） Practice curriculum : Same as the students in technology background
